Matt Acevedo, Ph.D.
Managing Partner
Matt lives and breathes higher education. He has spent the better part of his career working in instructional design, faculty development, and distance education. Sometimes he writes and presents about critical pedagogy, course design, and educational innovation.
He earned a PhD in Higher Education from Florida International University, where he was awarded 2019 Best Dissertation in the College of Arts, Sciences, and Education. He also has an MA in Instructional Design and Technology and a BFA in Film from the University of Central Florida.
Dr. Acevedo lives in Miami with his wife and 16-year-old dachshund-mix rescue dog. When he’s not working, Matt is an avid student of iaido, the art of Japanese swordsmanship.
Gus Roque, Ed.D.
Managing Partner
Gus is the man when it comes to corporate learning and development. A convert from higher ed, he’s held leadership roles in the L&D divisions in some of the highest profile corporations in the world.
Gus earned a Doctorate in Adult Education and Human Resources Development from Florida International University. He also has a BS in Management of Information Systems and an MS in Curriculum and Instruction from the College of Education, also from Florida International University.
Gus lives in Miami with his wife and son. When he’s not working, he’s probably with his family in their travel trailer somewhere in the Great American Southwest.
